The women of Hope are pleased to extend an invitation to the Ladies Advent Tea on Monday, December 5th at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). The evening will consist of hot and cold appetizers and desserts followed by an inspirational service. This year's theme ... Women of the Bible. Suggested age for this event is 8 and up.

Tables at the tea consist of 8 seats including one table host. The table host sets an inviting table for their guests and provides the following:

• Table Setting: Each table setting can include a tablecloth, tea set, dishes, silverware, napkins, and decor. Don't have some of these items ... no problem! Come up with your own idea and set a table that your guests will enjoy. You can also ask to borrow some items.

• Pick a woman from the Bible: Each host should pick a woman from the Bible for their table. If you'd like to, write a small paragraph about that woman and during the evening share that's woman's story ... if you'd like to ... with others.

• Small Gifts (optional): Some of our returning table hosts like to give a small gift to each guest at their table.

Food

Each attendee is asked to bring a dish to pass and this year we are asking you to bring the recipe for your dish so that we can compile a small recipe book and distribute to each guest after the event. Additionally, we do have a few attendees with nut allergies so if your dish contains nuts, please let us know.

The Ladies Advent Tea committee is also providing some of the food. Items include mini quiche, puff pastries, spinach kopitas, wrapped cocktail franks, hummus & pita, and a veggie tray. Drinks will include orange spice black tea, decaf black tea, hot cocoa, and water.

Others are bringing vegan/gluten free Mexican dip, Mexican dip, meatballs, and a fruit tray to share. 

In addition, table hosts and their guests are welcome to bring food to share at your table.

Admission

While we do not charge a fee to attend this event, we welcome donations of household cleaning supplies, feminine hygiene products, and baby items.

We also have a special collection for Samaritas who recently experienced a flood in their office and lost most of their donations. The ask is simple ... new twin sheet sets and new pillows.
