"Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be as bright as day. And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like and ever-flowing spring." Isaiah 58:10-11

Hope's Hunger Focus

Hope's Service Team has a passion for the needs of our local, national and world needs in the community.  The team has put together a year-long "Hunger Focus" which will highlight hunger stories and agencies that alleviate hunger.

Spring is almost here, and as part of the year-long "Hunger Focus," the garden team invites you to be a part of the new and exciting "Garden Project."  Hope's urban garden, "Garden of Hope," will be tended by Hope members and friends - the garden's harvest will then be donated to local food pantries to help those in need in our local community.  We all know how expensive fresh produce can be, so come be a part of this “ground-breaking” garden.

We need volunteer workers and people to donate plants for our garden.  Our garden boxes are build and soil has been laid, so we are almost ready to plant!  Tentative planting date is May 15 & 16.  Look for sign up sheets in the narthex on Sunday or for more information, contact Mike or Rosanne Thomas at 248-477-6231 or email them at mandrthomas@mi.rr.com.

Many thanks to Titan Top Soil who donated all the top soil needed to fill our garden beds!
