Registration for Hope's Music Program


Please prayerfully consider your level of involvement for the 2010-11 music program.  Complete the registration below for each participant in the family and return it online.

Traditional Choir is for adults. They sing 2-3 times a month and practice on Wednesday evenings for 1 hour.

Joyful Noise Choir is for children age 4-5 who are entering kindergarten by the fall of 2010 or 2011. They practice Wednesday evenings for 30 minutes.

Angels of God Choir is for children 1st through 5th grade. They practice Wednesday evenings for 45 minutes.

The Edge is a vocal and drama group for youth in 6th - 12th grade. They practice on Wednesday evenings for one hour.

Liturgical Dance I is for children 1st through 5th grades. They practice on Wednesday for 45 minutes.

Liturgical Dance II is for youth in 6th - 12th grade. They practice on Wednesday evenings for 45 minutes.

Alpha Band is for instrumentalists in 6th - 12th grade. They provide music for contemporary and traditional worship. They practice Wednesday evenings for 45 minutes.

What instrument do you play?

Orchestra plays at special worship services such as Christmas and Palm Sunday. Members should be at the intermediate level on their instrument.

Brass Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, String Ensemble and Flute Ensemble occasionally offer special music for worship services. Please check which ensemble you would like to join:

What instrument do you play?

Bell Choir is for adults and youth 6th through 12th grade. They practice Wednesday evenings. Participation in this group will depend upon opening availability.

Mens Gospel Quartet and Womens Vocal Ensemble occasionally offer special music for worship services. Please check which group you would like to join:

  • I would like to sing in a Women's Vocal Ensemble

There are other opportunities to join the music program even if you don't sing or play an instrument! Please check the follow opportunities you might be interested in. I would like to:
  • File music
  • Take pictures of musical events for the website and bulletin board
  • Maintain the Worship, Music & the Arts bulletin board
  • Serve on the Christmas Program Team; planning, sets, props, lighting, costumes, queuing, etc.
  • Serve on the Lenten Art Planning Team
  • Join the Drama Team
  • Plan & help implement special worship services (e.g.: Fall Kick Off Day)
  • Plan & implement volunteer recognition events
  • Plan an event for a guest composer music workshop
  • I would be willing to keep the website updated for the Worship, Music and the Arts pages (As easy as using Microsoft Word)

Contemporary Teams in the Sanctuary

*Provides music for the 9:30 and 11:00am services.
**A total of five teams with a consistent schedule. For example: Team 1 leads the first Sunday of the month, Team 2, the second, and so on.
*All groups practice on Sunday morning before the services. Three teams also practice once during the week before the Sunday, and two teams practice Sunday morning only.
*A person can be (and is encouraged to be) on more than one team.
