Our mission at Hope Lutheran Church is to “seek, make and be disciples of Jesus Christ in God’s church, community and world.”  The Adopt-a-Ministry campaign is designed to make members aware of some of the costs associated with making our many ministries a reality.  The campaign slogan, "Hope's Hands Joining Together to Make a Difference," is a reminder that it takes all of us make a difference in God's world.

You are invited to make a contribution to the following funds:

August's Adopt-a-Ministry
Outreach and Pastoral Care Ministries

We are asking every household to adopt at least one ministry during the course of the campaign, as we work to eliminate current and projected year-end deficits and support the wide variety of ministries that make a difference in the lives of many people.  And, as Keith Miller mentioned in his Adopt-a-Ministry talk in July, all of us are asked to pray that God will continue to bless the mission that has been given to us.

Spotlighted ministries during the campaign include:

  • Early Childhood & Elementary (June)
  • Adult/Fellowship Ministries & Synod Support (July)
  • Outreach & Pastoral Care (August)
  • Confirmation & Senior High (September)
  • Worship, Music & the Arts (October)
The spotlighted ministry in August is Outreach & Pastoral Care.

Hope’s website is a great outreach resource, as we share our mission and ministry with people throughout the region, state, nation and world.  Most people that visit Hope and/or join the congregation tell us that their first contact with us came through our website.  In this high tech age, our website allows us to connect with people on their terms.

Outreach also happens through Hope’s Alternative Christmas Fair (ACF), a wonderful event that is held every November.  The ACF provides more than forty local, national and international non-profit organizations a place to introduce their mission and sell gifts that benefit their organizations.

You have probably noticed the banners that are placed near 12 Mile Road for special events throughout the year.  You can support this important advertising ministry through a contribution during the month of August.

We also provide DVD’s of Sunday morning worship to members and friends of the congregation that are unable to be here on Sunday mornings.  You can support this ministry by providing a gift that will cover the cost of mailing these DVD’s.

During the difficult times that come to people throughout the course of life, Pastor Brad and Pastor Lauren do their best to provide pastoral care and visitation for hospitalized and homebound members of the congregation.  They also enlist the support of congregational volunteers, who deliver flowers and share Holy Communion.

Please prayerfully consider making a contribution in support of Outreach and Pastoral Care Ministries during the month of August.  You can place your envelope in the Sunday morning offering plate or mail it to the church office.  You may donate online by clicking the "Give Now" button above and simply deduct the payment from your checking, savings or credit card account.  It's quick and easy for you and for the church!  You may also continue to contribute to June's Early Childhood and Elementary Ministries and July's Adult Fellowship and Synod Support Ministries.  If you have a specific item you would like that donation to go toward, please note that on the comment area of the donation page.  We thank you for continuing to support these important ministries.

You may also donate to the following funds:

The General Operating Fund
This fund supports the mission of the church by offering ministries throughout the year that change the lives of people of all ages.  From early childhood, to middle school, to high school, to adults of all ages, the people of Hope are directly impacted by our discipleship-focused mission.

The Hope's Future Today Building Fund
This fund is an ongoing capital building campaign that will add additional Sunday school rooms and a senior high room for our ever-growing youth groups.

The Capital Fund
This fund is used for repair or purchase of major capital items.  Our building houses many people.  General wear and tear on items that we take for granted pop up from time to time and the fund has been depleted after the much needed steeple repair.  Donations to this fund will help fund the major parking lot repairs needed, family center floor refurbishing, and much more.

The Hunger Fund
This fund goes to ELCA World Hunger, which is a connected, comprehensive, and compassionate program that helps individuals and communities lift themselves out of poverty into self-sufficiency.  Through our giving and caring, through our advocacy and action, we make a life-saving difference.

The staff and leadership of Hope Church would like to thank members and friends for their generous donations, and perhaps more importantly, the opportunity to give back to God what God has first given to us, as we fulfill the mission that God has entrusted to us.  You are making a difference, impacting and changing lives everyday.
