Prayer Shawl Ministry

This group of women and men knit, crochet, sew, and quilt shawls for those in need of prayer. They create wonderful memories by making blankets for the newly baptized, scarves for graduating seniors, and for the many who are in need of prayer. Prayers are said by the one creating the shawl and once completed, the shawls are formally blessed before this gift is given.

The stitches are simple and all ages are welcome. They have patterns to share and really enjoy the few hours a month they get to spend catching up on each other's lives while their fingers are busy. 

The local community is welcome to join in this activity along with the many other small groups at Hope.  The group meets the first Saturday of the month at Hope from 9:00-11:00am in Sunday school room 4A & B.  If this is a ministry that you would like to participate in, please contact Laura Jaster for more information.
