Just as it appears, this is a course where we will take a look at some of the major religions of the world, specifically Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism. Why? Not as a compare and contrast to see which is better or worse, right or wrong. But rather because we live in a diverse world. We live in community where people experience the world different from their neighbor.
We will attempt to bring in as many leaders from other faith communities as possible. The idea will be that we read and talk about a religion one week (to get a bit of a foundation) then we will have a guest speak with us about that same religion the next week. The schedule will be a bit in flux to accommodate the schedules of our guests...so be prepared.
